Duncan Associates Attorneys and Counselors, P.C. is a Chicago law firm founded on January 1, 2000, to concentrate on the representation nationwide of private, boutique and traditional trust companies; family wealth management offices; and other wealth management firms.

Duncan Associates works with strategic families and their family offices to design and implement strategic multi-generational governance and succession structures and family office risk management programs.

John P.C. Duncan, our principal, has assisted in forming more than 40 trust companies in 15 states and wrote the CSBS Trust Company and Trust Modernization Act, the model for trust company acts adopted in whole or in part in almost one-half of the states, including Alaska, Connecticut, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

Mr. Duncan and Michael R. Conway, Jr., counsel to the firm, were the principal authors of the New Hampshire Trust Modernization and Competitiveness Act of 2006, effective August 19, 2006.
